The arrival of twins in this Brooklyn family caused the homeowners to undertake an update of their living/dining space and master bedroom. A family friendly dining area and more space for the rapidly growing kids to play was on top of the list for the living/dining room. Felicitas suggested several Surya rug options to make the living area more defined and comfortable, as well as a rounded table to free up space from the large and formal existing table. The tricky layout of the bedroom provided a design challenge. The bed was reoriented for an easier traffic flow, and a semi-custom built-in headboard was recommended to camouflage a cut out The remaining furniture selection was influenced by the client's love of blues, geometric patterns, and an overall contemporary but comfortable style.
